April Highlights: preparing for fall registration and important reminders for graduating students.
Action Items
Note the Monday class schedule substitution date.
On Tuesday, April 21, all courses will follow the Monday class schedule rather than the Tuesday class schedule. Please note this substitution on your calendar.
Meet with your academic advisor (undergraduates).
On March 18, the Undergraduate Academic Advising period began for fall registration.
³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈüs will be contacted by their Academic Advisor, Associate Dean's office (professional schools), or the Advising Center regarding how to set up an appointment to review degree requirements and to be cleared for registration.
Verify your registration plan in advance.
As a reminder, all course prerequisites are strictly enforced. ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈüs will only be able to self-register for a class if all listed prerequisites have been completed or are currently in progress. Please be sure to verify your registration plan during the advising period to ensure you are meeting any prerequisites for the courses you intend on registering for.
If you believe you meet a prerequisite through other coursework or need an override, please contact the department offering the course.

Registration for Fall begins April 10.

³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈüs with outstanding student account balances will be prevented from registering for fall courses. Please resolve any balance on your account by April 3 to avoid holds on your registration.
Attention all off-campus students: you must set up Eagle VPN prior to registration in order to register off campus.
When accessing EagleApps Registration off campus, including registering for the fall 2026 semester, you need to use Eagle VPN and BC 2-Step Verification.
To prepare for this change well in advance of your registration time slot, set up and test Eagle VPN on your computer:Â .

³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈüs who have registered for Summer 2026 courses will be charged and billed in early May.
Please note: ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈüs must formally drop a summer course by the published deadline to avoid being responsible for the tuition. ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈüs who simply do not attend courses are still charged and financially responsible for the courses unless they formally drop the course by the drop deadline.
Graduating in May? Verify your diploma name.
If you missed the deadline to verify your Diploma Information via the Agora Portal, please complete .
Order your cap and gown.
If you have not already ordered your cap and gown, you may order them at this time. Information about caps and gowns is available on the Commencement ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈü InformationÌý±è²¹²µ±ð.
The deadline to order your cap and gown is Tuesday, March 31.
Run a degree audit in the (graduating seniors).
Look for the following message: "ALL REQUIREMENTS COMPLETED --- IN-PROGRESS COURSES USED." If a student does not receive this message, he/she will not meet the requirements for graduation and will not receive a degree. Please reach out to the appropriate academic contact (MCAS — Karen Livingston; CSOM, CSON, and LSEHD — Jenna Burke) or your advisor or Academic Dean immediately to resolve any graduation clearance issue.
Register for Graduation.
Graduating students must register to attend graduation. You may register on the Commencement website. If you need wheelchair seating assistance for graduation, you may also indicate that when registering. To ensure you have no issues on graduation day, please review your student account balance on the MyBill service of the . All balances must be paid no later than May 1 to avoid diploma and transcript holds at graduation.
Complete your ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈü Loan Exit Interview (graduating students).
³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈüs graduating in May who have borrowed a Federal Stafford or a Federal GradPlus loan should complete an online exit interview at the Ìý·É±ð²ú²õ¾±³Ù±ð.
³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈüs who have borrowed a Federal Perkins loan, BC Law Loan, or BC Federal Nursing Loan will need to complete their exit interview at the . You will receive an e-mail from ECSI with instructions.

The ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈü Loan staff from the Office of ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈü Services invites all upcoming graduates to attend an informational presentation on student loan repayment on Monday, April 6 at 4:30 p.m. in Devlin 110.
Covered Topics:Â Need-to-know facts and the Do's and Don'ts of student loan repayment.
If you are unable to attend this session or seek personal assistance, student loan counseling is also available to all students who have questions on how to navigate loan repayment options. Please contact borrower@bc.edu to set up an appointment.

The 2026–27 Boston College Financial Aid Application priority deadline was March 1.Ìý°Õ³ó±ðÌý is now available online. You may check the status of your financial aid application in the .
Graduate and Law students, note the start of the 2026–2027 financial aid application process.

The last day to withdraw from a course or the University is April 23.

The Office of the Dean of ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈüs (DOS) seeks to cultivate a culture of care where students feel safe and supported. Part of this culture is responding to reports of concern. Sign up for direct deposit.
As a graduating student, any unused meal credits over $5 will be refunded to your student account after Commencement. These amounts or any other payments being credited to your account may leave you with a refundable balance on your BC account at the end of the school year.
The easiest and fastest way for ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈü Services to refund any credit balance to you is via direct deposit. We encourage you to sign up for direct deposit so that we are able to refund any credit balance to you quickly.

Looking for a job?
The Summer 2026 job opportunities will be available on the ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈü Employment Job Listings page beginning in April. The BC Career Center offers plenty of resources as well as tips on writing great resumes and cover letters when applying for student jobs. For students who have secured an on-campus job for the first time, please be sure to bring forms of identification (such as but not limited to, a valid/unexpired U.S. Passport, or a combination of a valid driver’s license or Eagle ID card ²¹²Ô»åÌýSocial Security card or birth certificate) in original formats. No pictures or photocopies will be accepted. A full list of acceptable documents for Form I-9 completion can be found on the . International F-1 students will need to bring in their valid Foreign Passport along with their Forms I-94 ²¹²Ô»åÌýI-20 and Employment Authorization Letter from the Office of International ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈüs and Scholars (OISS).

Federal regulations require that Title IV funds credited to your student account be applied only to cover allowable charges, unless Boston College obtains authorization to apply these funds to all other charges on your student account. You may submit your authorization electronically at www.bc.edu/myservices. For more information, visit the BillingÌý±è²¹²µ±ð.
Complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling (if applicable).

Enroll in direct deposit for student account refunds (if applicable).
We recommend that all students use direct deposit when requesting refunds. Refunds processed via direct deposit are faster and do not require pickup. Visit the Billing page for instructions and more information.
